SBA Auction

Each Spring the Student Bar Association, with the help of the faculty and administration, sponsors an auction to raise money for various student activities and, more specifically, graduation. The event consists of a silent auction and a live auction. Throughout the night, raffle drawings are also conducted.

In the past, professors and administrators have donated their time and services in numerous endeavors including “Bowling with Brashier,” dinner with Professor Case, or Putt-Putt with Mulroy. The event is a great opportunity to speak with the students and faculty alike, socialize with your friends and family, and show your support for the law school in an informal setting.

Students are also encouraged to participate and contribute where possible. The SBA Board requires each of its members, in addition to donating one personal item for the auction, to procure at least one item from a local business. Furthermore, the student body at large is welcome to help put on the event. For instance, students in the past have offered to donate poker lessons, oil changes, and even a catered luxury box to a Nashville Predators home game. Recent graduates are also encouraged to participate.

Each year this event proves to be a great success and helps send the graduating class out with an outpouring of support.
